Where Sculpture Meets Interior.
Each NONOS vase is a unique collector’s piece.
From New York to London, from Miami to Shanghai, our works have been shown on international stages — from the Art Basel Week Miami to the Biennale in Venice (2019 and 2022), the Museum Stift Klosterneuburg, and leading galleries such as Eclectic Gallery London and Vogelsang Gallery New York / Brussels.
Our sculptures are part of private and public collections worldwide — among them that of Franz Beckenbauer — and collaborations with Ferrari and other cultural icons have placed our art within an international dialogue of innovation and excellence.
Each exhibition, each collector, each collaboration deepens our conviction: art is a living conversation — one that connects beauty, emotion, and the human spirit across cultures and time.
We are Mercedes and Franziska Welte – sisters, artists, and the creative force behind NONOS. Our vases are not designed for function alone, they are sculptural statements that bring our artistic essence into daily life.
Each piece emerges from an intuitive process of form and material – a dialogue between movement, balance, and emotion. Through our work, we seek to dissolve the boundary between sculpture and design, between the art object and the living space.
What begins as an artistic impulse becomes a form that breathes — tactile, organic, and alive — an embodiment of the idea that art can transform the atmosphere of a room.
UNIQUE PIECES
NONOS is the artistic name of Austrian sisters Mercedes and Franziska Welte, whose collaboration has redefined the intersection of sculpture, painting, and design. Their vases are not mere objects of function but sculptural works that embody elegance, organic fluidity, and a deep dialogue with nature. By merging tradition with innovation, their creations transcend conventional boundaries, inviting viewers and collectors into a space where art, design, and life converge.
A sculptural vase, where flowing forms and luminous pigments transform space into an artwork
Each NONOS vase is handcrafted with mastery — a fusion of material innovation and timeless elegance.
More than design: a collectible object, shaped with precision and destined for the world’s finest interiors.
Art has always been the heartbeat of our lives. Growing up in Austria surrounded by creativity, music, and cultural openness, we each found our path through experimentation — from painting and performance to sculpture and material research.
Over the years, we have mastered the expressive possibilities of carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and bronze, translating their physical strength into emotional resonance. Every vase we create is shaped by hand, guided by intuition, and rooted in an ongoing dialogue with nature.
For us, sculpture is not static form — it is movement, rhythm, and the play of light and shadow. Each piece carries within it the energy of our shared vision and the precision of craftsmanship honed over decades.
NONOS vases dissolve the boundary between sculpture and function. Their flowing silhouettes and painterly surfaces transform interiors into curated spaces of timeless beauty.
Born from passion, shaped by hand, and destined to accompany you like living art — a vessel of beauty, intimacy, and timeless grace.
Yes. While this platform is dedicated to our exclusive vase collection, we also create larger works: monumental sculptures, abstract paintings, and wall reliefs. These can be discovered through private consultation or by visiting our exhibitions worldwide.
Yes. We offer private viewings by appointment — virtually, in selected galleries, or in our atelier. In addition, collectors may send us a photo of their living space, and we will render the chosen NONOS vase directly into the interior. This way you can experience how the piece interacts with light, architecture, and atmosphere before making your decision.
Yes. Collectors and institutions often request site-specific sculptures, wall objects, or paintings. We collaborate personally to ensure the artwork resonates with your vision and environment.
Absolutely. Many collectors value this personal dialogue. We are always open to discussing the creation, meaning, and story behind your chosen vase.
Each vase is packed with museum-standard care and shipped fully insured. For monumental sculptures or paintings, we also arrange professional installation on-site.
Yes. While our atelier is generally private, we open its doors to collectors and art lovers on select occasions throughout the year — including during the Bregenz Festival, the “Long Night of Museums,” and the Christmas season. These moments offer a rare opportunity to experience our creative world first-hand, surrounded by vases, sculptures, and paintings in the place where they are born.
Where Art and Life Converge
In our studio, we live within our creations. Every surface, every fold of material is a dialogue between us and the essence of form. We work side by side, sculpting stillness into movement, shaping matter into elegance. Our vases and sculptures are born in this space — a place where intuition meets discipline, where art becomes a language that transcends boundaries.
Free 1-on-1 Design Consultation
Creation begins with conversation. In our daily exchange, we reflect on art, on life, and on the movement of the world around us. This dialogue flows directly into our work — the gestures of our sculptures, the forms of our vases. Each piece is the result of shared vision, of two voices that merge into one artistic language.
